She had great creating instinct and will be missed. I miss her. I was honored to share some one on one time with her as she prepared and packed up. I have always admired and looked up to Nancy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book every time I had a little spare time. In my early sewing days, I taped the videos and still have the collection (and a VCR which plays them). I am thankful that we can still enjoy spending time with her by watching shows again on our local PBS stations and via the website. She is missed. She instilled confidence to boldly go forward and not fear a project, whatever it might be. Zieman was born on June 21, 1953, and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. Many of her books are in our library and I have many on my own shelf, I am grateful to have learned so much from her. I always enjoyed her ability to make the complex patterns doable. What a wonderful person to all of us! I have really enjoyed Nancys teaching method. She was such a classy lady. I am so goad you contnue to show her programs. She gave me confidence to try anything! I admire you so much to be able to write the final story, I lost my husband at the age of 50, and I know I would not have able to do that. I was privileged to meet Nancy 25 years ago when she visited my neighbors home. I grew up watching Nancy see on TV. She had such a peace about her that it made us viewers relax and soak it all in. I did not have the opportunity to read her first book, but I have been inspired by her work, her sewing and embroidery, and her perseverance through the years. Kuklinski died on March 5, 2006 at the age of 70, in Trenton, New Jersey, under mysterious circumstances. I went to two seminars at her place in Wisconsin and loved it and loved meeting her. And from then on the race was on I became a Pfaff instructor at my local quilt shop and spend many hours working with new owners of their embroidery machines. I read her book, and want to read Richards also. My favorite is 10, 20, 30 Minutes to Sew. Still watching her programs on PBS. Nancys show and her store are my inspiration to sew, quilt and try new techniques. I just adored Miss Nancy. Would love to have the book. I was some how introduced to Nancy Zieman many years ago, long before her beautiful color catalog came into being.
